I chose a long exposure technique with the intention of processing it in black & white to try to reflect the monumental statement the ruin makes in the landscape and also create a dramatic setting by capturing the cloud motion for the Abbey-like ruin of Ynyspandy Slate Mill.
It was originally erected between 1855-1857 to serve the Gorseddau Quarry until its closure in 1871.
Located in Dolbenmaen, Snowdonia National Park. Now the ruin is a registered Scheduled Monument
