I photographed these ancient Oaks in October when the forest comes alive with autumnal colour. I can’t help but love these old charismatic gnarled Sessile Oaks they just ooze character and mystery and these old twins are no exception as they hold such a privileged position on the foothills of Moel Siabod, were they are positioned on the edge of a rock outcrop with no direct competition for sun, air and space from any other trees other than themselves.
