The first time I saw this view it took my breath away; we had just moved here from the city and I was discovering my new immediate surroundings. I have stood here numerous times since over the past five years we have lived here and still it takes my breath away and I’m still finding small details in the landscape I’d not noticed before.
The photograph captures sunset over the hills above Colwyn Bay and Conwy Valley with the Carneddau Mountain Range in the background. The undulated countryside in the foreground is mainly a place called Trofarth, were we have many roads with no names and local people are known by the name of their house rather than their surnames. It’s just easier that way.
