I chose a long exposure photograph with the intention of processing it in black & white to try to capture the monumental nature of the ruin in the landscape and also create a moody setting of the Abbey like ruin of Ynyspandy Slate Mill.
It was originally erected between 1855-1857 to serve the Gorseddau Quarry until its closure in 1871.
Located in Dolbenmaen, Snowdonia National Park, Wales, UK. Now the ruin is a registered Scheduled Monument.
