I photographed this woodland scene in early November 2021 on a mild misty and wet autumnal morning. The conditions were perfect for forest photography; there was no wind and the foliage was wet, adding depth to both forest colours and textures. 
I'd gone deep into the forested hillside to the places one can't reach during the summer months due to the thick undergrowth.
The composition was chosen to portray the wonderful bright autumnal colours framed by the chaotic nature of the trees.
