Due to lock down restrictions, I'd not visited Penmon Point in over four months so it was fantastic to be back. I took this photograph at sunset in early July, 2020. I wanted to capture Trwyn Du Lighthouse with the curvature of the water’s edge leading the eye up to it so Idecided on a focal length of 70 mm. I think it was a good choice as it left enough space around the subject to capture the soft and warm colours created by the sunset and enhance the sunlight hitting the lighthouse, which I think works quite well as a composition, in capturing the mood of the evening, which was warm, chilled and peaceful.
