I watched this sun set on to the horizon at about midnight and it did not go beyond, then it began to rise by 1.00 am and a new day had dawned. I have never witnessed such an event before or photographed a sunset and a sunrise within an hour of each other before.

For two months of the year in Lofoten the sun does not go down!

The Lofoten Islands are found on the north coast of Norway within the Arctic Circle.
