Photograph of Eglwys Cwyfan (the church of St Cwyfan) at sunset, shot late December 2020. The church is located on a small isle called Cribinau, which was originally part of the coast but due to erosion through time became an island. A large causeway was built to the island so people from the Aberffraw area could attend mass. It’s believed the earliest church on the site dated to the seventh century but this structure was built during the 13th century.
